Cross Country and Track

Team Mission & Goal

First and foremost, this is a Faith based Cross Country and Track team based out of West Michigan (Holland/Zeeland).

The Mustangs cross country and track program seeks to consistently achieve excellence in running and in life for every athlete in the program.

Our Goal is that each athlete, regardless of natural ability, put in the work and the attention to detail on a daily basis to develop over time to achieve their fullest potential and find joy in running.
Our target for every athlete is to foster the feeling of self-satisfaction that comes as a direct result of achieving their potential.
We will accomplish this through steadfast support for the fundamental value of each team member within strict adherence to the team concept.

Through their participation, they will create a foundation for life-long fitness and positive character traits to meet challenges both inside and outside the athletic realm.

Our Program (High School, Middle School and K-5)

Competitive Teams for Middle School (6th - 8th grade) and High School. No experience needed or required to participate. (There is a team fee for MS and HS teams).

We compete at area Invitationals and Meets (along with many public/private (MHSAA) school. We compete in a Conference along with other Homeschools, Michigan Independent High School State Championship (MiHS) and Homeschool Nationals (HXN) in Hermitage, TN.

Free youth running club for K-5th grade! Focus on having fun with teammates and finding joy in running. Several opportunities for the youth kids to race (at the same day/ location as our MS/HS teams). Most races are 1 mile in distance.

Official Cross Country practice will begin August 11. 2025

Practice Locations (During official seasons @ 4:30): We will run in the Holland and Zeeland Area. Downtown Holland (Window on the Waterfront), Downtown Zeeland (Lawrence Street Park), Helder Park, Drenthe Grove Park, Upper Mac trails, Riley Trails and Tunnel Park on Lake Michigan.

All Weather Seal West Michigan MEGASTAR Qualifiers (Middle School): Aria Koert, Aaliyah Lewis, Arianna Lewis, Dawson Kolehouse, Jacob Erdmann, Kellen Grosse and Elijah Waskey
MiHS State Championships:
- Aaliyah Lewis 200m Middle School State Champ and 400m State Runner-up!
- Aria Koert 1600m and 800m Middle School State Champ!
- Dawson Kolehouse 3200m Middle School State Champ!
- Luke Long 1600m and 3200m High School State Champ!
Luke Long MITCA Champion of Champions 3200m Runner Up in a time of 9:09!!
Luke Long New Balance Nationals Outdoor Qualifier. Finished 13th in the 5000m with a time of 14:52!
